Unbounded Potential

The cry of a new baby born
Will ring soon through out this place
It is being grown, knit together in wonder
while in the womb he patiently waits

What will unfold in this precious life?
What will he become?
Currently a bundle of unbounded potential
Waiting to be taught and valued and loved

Some have no grasp on how to raise
A child in this world we live
Values and respect ever changing
Fears and pressures to overcome

But in this life there is potential beyond measure
For this child to be all that he can be
All we need to do is not limit him
Through how we speak and act and are.

Encouragement and love unbounded
And are the ingredients to release the potential in full
Discouragement and ridicule will only harm and limit
This once unbounded potential.

Children are a precious gift
We need to look after and care
Our responsibility is to make sure
Of our unreserved love they are completely aware.

From the overflow of our love their potential will be released
And all we’ve hoped and wanted for them will not matter
For they will have become all they can be.
They will be rooted and grounded in love.

Thoughts behind Unbounded potential

One of my older sisters is expecting, due in September time. You can probably imagine the excitement there is. This will be my dads seventh grandchild!

So my thoughts were on this little life and the questions arising about its future and the unlimited potential that little life at the moment holds. All this little soul needs is to be nurtured in love and left to grow. And through that we will see the potential released.

Lets never be guilty of being people who limit our children’s potential through our negative words and deeds. Let us nurture our children to be all they can be.

I truly believe love is the answer to most problems in life. If we can just get that right then maybe, no definitely, we will have a brighter tomorrow.

The Man I want to Be

What is the definition of a man? What value has he? Is it measured in the size of his heart or in his muscle capacity? What kind of man do I want to be? A man of integrity. Who knows truth and and lives by it Who walks in humility and love. A man who's nature is...

Why I walk you home …
